Each year our Community Investment team, a group of local, experienced community volunteers is assembled to assess the priorities of our community. The team then reviews applications and interviews agency representatives to clarify each program's goals, funding needs, and its ability to meet our assessed community priorities. Recommendations as to which agencies are to be funded and how the funds will be distributed are then presented to the United Way Board of Directors. This process assures United Way donors that their contributions are battling the most pressing issues of our community while also reaching the people who are in urgent need of help.
Finally, in addition to our United Way controls, all aspects of our finances are subject to an annual independent audit. All of our information is also available to the public through our Annual Report.
