Locating and preparing your family's essential documents before a natural disaster is an often overlooked step in the hectic preparation process. Emergency personnel emphasize how critical it
is to have documentation such as financial, identification, insurance, keys and prescriptions.
The disaster bags have a list of documents that are needed in the clean-up and recovery process. United Way of Southwest Louisiana’s emergency helpline, 2-1-1, contact information is
included to help you obtain local information in the case of an evacuation.
Businesses and organizations can contact United Way about preparing a package of bags for employees or volunteers. Call 337.433.1088 for more information on the program.
