The Empowerment through Employment Initiative, led by United Way Southwest Louisiana, equips low-income and ALICE individuals with the required ID cards, certificates, TWIC cards, safety cards and more for successful job placement. United Way Southwest Louisiana’s Empowerment Through Employment Initiative helps job-ready individuals access better-paying, more stable work by covering the upfront costs employers require.
For many people, these costs are the only thing standing between them and opportunity.
Individuals seeking employment assistance through the Initiative can fill out the application below, which caseworkers will review to determine program eligibility and available resources. An assigned caseworker will monitor the progress of accepted applicants.
