This transformation marks a significant evolution in our mission, aligning our branding with the critical issues we are addressing today.

Since the devastating events of the past few years, including the pandemic, hurricanes, and other crises, United Way Southwest Louisiana has recognized the urgent need to adapt and respond to the changing landscape of community needs. Our refreshed branding emphasizes our commitment to key areas: Youth Opportunity, Financial Security, Healthy Community and Community Resiliency. This shift illustrates our dedication to filling essential service gaps and fostering an inclusive environment where individuals and families can thrive.

“Our rebranding journey reflects not just a change in appearance, but a deep commitment to evolving with the communities we serve,” said Denise Durel, President and CEO of United Way Southwest Louisiana. “The challenges we've faced have underscored our role as first responders and positioned us to address more nuanced and pressing issues than ever before.”

The new branding encapsulates the lessons learned during these recent adversities, showcasing our resilience and adaptability. It reinforces our position as a pillar of support in the community and underscores our mission to create a resilient and equitable environment for all.

Through our strategic rebranding process, we have highlighted our success stories and strengthened connections with community members, donors, and volunteers. “We are more than just an organization; we are a community partner dedicated to inspiring change and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive,” added Durel.

With this renewed focus, United Way Southwest Louisiana is poised to enhance its operational capacity, allowing for immediate response to crises and proactive community-building measures.

“We are looking forward to continuing our legacy of impact and innovation,” Durel concluded. “Together, we will forge a stronger, more inclusive community ready to face future challenges.”

United Way Southwest Louisiana invites community members and partners to engage with our new initiatives and join us in making a lasting difference in the lives of individuals and families throughout our region.
