Benefitting the Be Moore Scholarship Fund and Local School Music Programs

Presented with United Way Southwest Louisiana

Local music legend, bassist, guitarist and singer Brian Moore was the epitome of “Local Music Love”, and those that knew him were forever changed by his spirit. He encouraged everyone he met to pursue their dreams and to support the dreams or our community. As a musician, he helped to mentor and promote countless aspiring musicians to reach their potential.

This Year, The fifth Annual “Be Moore Fest” is back on March 7, 2026 in the Downtown Entertainment District. Sponsorships and Donations are being solicited to benefit Brian’s passion, Live Music in our Community. Funds raised will help fund The Be Moore Scholarship for a deserving music student at Sulphur High School, Brian’s Alma Mater, as well as support for local school music programs. In 2025, Be Moore Fest was able to provide over $3000 to deserving programs. Be Moore Fest is a totally free and family-friendly music festival that presents local and regional musical artists in several downtown venues. Commemorative shirts and merchandise will be available.

Festivities will be held in the Downtown Entertainment District on Broad and Ryan streets. Venues participating will be Buffi’s Peaux Boys, Bux Corner Market, The Emporium, Luna Bar & Grill, Panorama Music House, Stellar Beans and Tia Juanita’s. Numerous Lake area musicians and bands will join together to play and remember Brian Moore and his contributions to both music and positivity. We call upon Brian’s friends in the music world to join us on stage. Past musical artists have included Sulphur High School Jazz Band and Show Choir, Barbe HS Show Choir, Young Band Nation, The Throwbacks, Jay Ecker Trio, Cadillac Possum, Tim Norris, Lost Riders, Loaded 44rz, Snydley Whiplash, Air Junkies and many more. Kid friendly till 9pm.
