STEM competition winners United Way of Southwest Louisiana sponsored The National Center for Earth and Space Science Education’s competiton in the Region 5 STEM Center. F.K. White Middle School STEM Teachers Sandra Hayes and Dana Istre’s students had the winning experiment, Sunflower Microgravity Growth.

On Sunday, November 20, Sandra Hayes will accompany their three students with the experiment to NASA where it will travel to the International Space Station as part of Mission 16 this fall.
